The 2009 USA Hockey National Championships will most likely be the last of its kind, and you still have an opportunity to be involved in it.  

Beginning in 2010, the USA Hockey Youth Tier II National Championships will expand from the current 12 teams representing each District to as many as 50 teams representing each State at the U12, U14, U16 and U18 age levels.

The 2009 National Championships will be the last time there will be only one (1) National Champion at each of the Tier II age levels.  

Beginning in 2010, USA Hockey will crown four (4) Youth Tier II National Champions at each age level (one in each of four newly created conferences) for a total of (16) National Champions.
