The Alliance Youth Hockey Association is pleased to inform the teams participating in the 2009 USA Hockey National Championships of our partnership with local organizations to provide professional medical sports trainers on-site at each game to address medical needs that might arise.
Alliance's long term affiliation with these local organizations for previous youth hockey tournaments offers a convenient link with a wide array of physicians on the medical staffs of local hospitals as well as physical therapists, dieticians, psychologists and other sports medicine practitioners.
These organizations offers easy access to the following professionals:
- Licensed athletic trainers to assist with injury treatment and preventive care during practices or games.
- Sports medicine physician present or on call during athletic events.
- Speakers to conduct on-site educational programs on topics such as injury prevention and sports nutrition.
Once the specific individual trainers that will be working during the National Championships have been scheduled, their contact information and schedule will be made available both here as well as at the rink during the tournament..
