The Embassy Suites and Convention Center in Frisco, Texas will be the headquarters and center of most activities associated with the 2009 USA Hockey National Championships April 1-5, 2009.
Opening meetings and other special events and gatherings will be held at this world-class facility with over 90,000 square feet of space, full service audio-visual department, and award winning chefs.
There will be two (2) required meetings that will be held on the evening of Tuesday March 31, 2009 as indicated below:
- Team Managers/Credentials - 7:00 PM - This meeting will be mandatory for all official team managers to be given instructions relating to procedures and guidelines affecting their teams, review of tournament schedules and venues, confirmation of credentials, to pick up pre-ordered passes and other merchandise, etc. Per USA Hockey Rules & Regulations, each team must have at least one representative at this meeting. A representative is defined as either the coach or the team manager. This person will be designated as the delegation chairperson for his/her team and will be the team’s official liaison for all official contacts between the team and the tournament committee. The team’s manager should fulfill this role, if at all possible.
- Coaches & Officials - 8:00 PM - This meeting will be mandatory for all team coaches and USA Hockey Officials to review official USA Hockey procedures and rules of play, and to answer any questions related to the competition and game operations. Failure to have a representative at this meeting will result in the coach not being allowed on the bench for the first game.
The meetings will be in the Frisco 3 & 4 Rooms as indicated on the map below. Hospitality services, food and beverages will be provided at these meetings.
