Alliance Hockey

In keeping with the pledge to involve as many local youth hockey associations as possible in the hosting of the 2009 USA Hockey National Championships, the Alliance Youth Hockey Association is pleased and excited to announce that Bob Smith, of the Dallas Stars Selects, has been named as Tournament Co-Chairman for the April 2009 event. 

Currently Vice President of Administration for the Stars Select, Bob brings extensive experience in the planning and operation of youth hockey tournaments to the staff, most notably from the highly successful and nationally recognized Labor Day Texas Shootout, and Thanksgiving Fall Roundup Tournament.

Among numerous responsibilities, Bob will be significantly involved in the planning and operation of the Championships, as well as soliciting and securing additional staff and volunteers. Many other volunteers have already expressed interest in helping, and new staff members will be announced as they are brought on board and assigned specific responsibilities.

Bob has already had a positive impact in the process of moving forward with Nationals, and Alliance is looking forward to working with Bob and other future volunteers toward achieving the goal of making the 2009 Nationals a memorable event for all involved.
